Raising Horsepower: 7 Ways to Increase Engine Power Cars

A machine works well is important for the smooth functioning of the car.

The engine converts fuel into kinetic energy is then used to drive the car.

Engine power is calculated by various units. One popular measurement unit is horsepower (Hp).

The greater the greater the horsepower output of energy released by a car.

Increase Horsepower Car Engine

Most cars have had the power specifications of the standard engine. However, some owners may want to increase the engine power to meet their needs.

Here are some ways that can be taken to increase engine horsepower.

1. Replacing the Computer Chip

The owner can replace the ROM chip in the engine control unit (ECU) to increase the power.

However, in many cases, this will only be effective if accompanied by other modifications such as the air intake (air intake) and the exhaust system.

2. Modification of Exhaust System

Replacing the exhaust system can increase engine horsepower.

The exhaust system (exhaust) using sophisticated large pipes, headers, and the free flow muffler to reduce air resistance (back pressure) so that the disposal of so much smoother.

3. Installing Turbocharger

When adding a turbo or super charger do not forget to replace the cylinder with a larger size.

Turbochargers compress the air entering the cylinder. This will increase the amount of oxygen in the cylinder to improve combustion process.

In other words, more oxygen means greater power an engine.

4. Cool Air Intake

High temperatures will make the air expands, while cold air is more dense.

Instead of hot air, cold air should be included in the combustion chamber to increase the engine power.

This method can be achieved by installing the intercooler, which is a type of radiator with a turbocharger.

So, before it enters the cylinder, the air is compressed by the turbocharger is cooled by the intercooler.

5. Reduce Weight Car

Burden will slow the vehicle. In other words, lighten the weight of the car will increase power.

However, lowering the car's weight does not mean you have to remove the components or parts of the car.

This objective can be achieved by replacing some components with lighter materials.

Or, make sure the trunk and rear seat clear of unnecessary items.

6. Air Filter (Air Filter)

The air filter helps remove solid particles such as dust, pollen, etc. before entering the cylinder.

Size larger air filter allows more air into the engine.

More air to make the piston function efficiently thus increasing horsepower.

7. Busi and Fuel

Iridium spark plugs will make the car run faster because fuel combustion is more perfect trap.

Select also a high-octane fuel and unleaded to minimize residue left on the machine.

Machines are kept clean will contribute to power the car is maintained.
